Innovative Invitations | Oh So Beautiful Paper & Chelle Paperie

I just came across these fabulous invitations on Oh So Beautiful Paper's website. The invitations were made by Chelle Paperie who is incredibly talented. Instead of a simple piece of paper, Chelle Paperie created hard-bound books, which include wedding details, lodging, a map, a hand written personal note, an RSVP card, and the itinerary. The creativity and inspiration is phenomenal. Take a look:

In addition to the very unique invitations, Chelle Paperie created double sided posters and mailed them in custom mailing tubes to guests - brilliant!

Some of the guests received their invitations hand delivered in boxes wrapped in wood-grain paper.

5 Clever Wedding Ideas

1. Having a casual wedding? Use mason jars for glasses. 2. Need a container to hold ice, trash, or decorations?  Use galvanized cans. They come in all shapes and sizes and they look much nicer than a dirty plastic garbage can or bus tub.

3. Need a unique Place Card holder? Use picture frames - they can serve as the favor too!  Milano Series has great clear/paper weight holders that are elegant and functional.

4. Worried about guests losing their freshly poured cocktail? Offer charms or even snazzy name tags at the bar.  These are especially good for mason jars.

Skis for a Guest Book

I recently attended a friend's wedding at the Clair Tabban Lodge in Truckee. The setting was a very old, rustic lodge designed to accommodate 70+ avid skiers. The lodge is set in Truckee near Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. Not much but the mountains surrounds this little outdoor enthusiast haven. Our friends booked the lodge over Thanksgiving week, celebrated thanksgiving with their family, and then through in a little wedding celebration. It was, warm, cozy, and very much a reflection of the bride and groom. As guests arrived, they walked into the ancient lodge and were greeted by a delicious cheese platter, bluegrass cd's (wedding favor), and the first chubby skis every made! The skis took the place of a guestbook. The night continued to entertain and surprise with dinner served on picnic benches, a local band (The Truckee Tribe) performing bluegrass music, and family musicians playing a few tunes on their instruments. Personality boomed from the floor boards all night long.
